Can brain stimulation help to prevent the loss of memories? Entrainment of suppressed oscillations in the aging or pathological brain may be possible and capable to restore lost memory abilities. 



Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that generates an alternating current at a specific frequency, with the potential to synchronize or desynchronize activity between targeted brain regions. As such, tACS represents a powerful tool to causally interfere with the neural correlates of memory and cognition.
